The BAIANO SYMPOSIUM OF MODELING AND SIMULATION OF BIOSSYSTEMS - SBMSB, which was so called because the first edition was local, sought to promote greater integration between students, professors, researchers and other professionals in the area of Science and Technology. Covering the following topics: Biosystems Modeling, Scientific Computing, Complex Systems Modeling, Control and Optimization of Dynamical Systems, Bioinformatics, Systems Equilibrium and Optimization, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics.

The main objective of SBMSB was to provide a scientific environment that promotes dissemination, encourages cooperation among professionals in the area, in addition to fostering multidisciplinary training of new professionals.

The event promoted debates and discussions focused on a specific theme per year, being the theme of 2022. The use of water: contemporary demands, challenges and sustainability.

The I SBMSB was held in person on Campus II, at the Department of Extensive and Earth Sciences II, in Alagoinhas/BA, from 08/29/2022 to 09/01/2022. Organized entirely by students and professors from the PPGMSB and other collaborating institutions, the SBMSB is composed of short courses, round tables, lectures, as well as presentations of works in poster format and oral presentations.
