The BAHIAN SYMPOSIUM ON MODELING AND SIMULATION BY PPGMSB aims to integrate students, educators, researchers, and professionals in Science and Technology, emphasizing Modeling and Simulation. It covers Biosystems Modeling, Scientific Computing, Complex Systems, Control and Optimization, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Applied Mathematics, aiming to promote the exchange of ideas and advancements in the sector. Besides being a knowledge platform, the SBMS offers networking opportunities, with workshops, roundtable discussions, lectures, and presentations, encouraging collaboration. The 2024 theme, 'Artificial Intelligence applied to Biosystems,' highlights the intersection of AI with biological sciences. The event takes place from October 22 to 24, 2024, in Alagoinhas, BA, at Campus II of the Department of Exact and Earth Sciences II. We invite students, researchers, and professionals interested in the covered topics to participate, whether by presenting papers, in workshops, or as attendees, enriching the knowledge and practice in modeling and simulation. The event, organized by members of PPGMSB and collaborators, promises to be a space for learning, innovation, and building partnerships.
